Or his writing. I like Barlow too, but he has some drivel. So does Hunter, Let Me Sing Your Blues Away or The Ugliest Girl in the World (w/Dylan). I ,however, have the most drivel by far.

Didn't a several people come up with couplets for Throwing?

Ha! I've never heard that - always seen it credited as Weir/Barlow, and the annotated Dead lyrics project seems to bear me out.

But I've also learned that when it comes to this band, it is always best to say "that's my understanding" rather than "that's the way it is," because they are full of suprises ...

As for Hunter I would throw in "Leave that Little Girl Alone" (know in some vulgar circles as "Give that Little Girl the Bone") as pretty lightweight .
I didn't mind Brent's songs, It's just that I would rather hear any of the other songs ...
Well golly..., I sort of... like ..."I will take you home", but I can see how it could e annoying .
"We Can Run", and "T. Stones (know in some other vulgar circles as "throwing up") are pretty preachy ( try to say that while eating peanut butter ). But I don't mind the sediment of them too much, however simplistic . T.Stones has the problem of taking up a long stretch of Dead time, ( especially when coupled with NFA ) with not much real jamming to show . But sometimes they did build up a head of steam in that bridge .
"Ugliest Girl In The World", might have the honor of being the worst song by BOTH Dylan, and Hunter .
But it is odd, this Brent less stretch .
